SFFS: Snippet of “A Brief Discussion”

Science Fiction & Fantasy Saturday

Welcome back to another Science Fiction Fantasy Saturday!

I have looked into the issue of the web hosting services for my site. They say things should move over seamlessly. I hope they’re right. Wish me luck!

Today’s contribution continues the series of snippets from a deleted scene from my fourth book.

Cover for 'Alone in the Universe'

In the last post, Anna had been waiting for Kate to return to their ship and greeted her with a big hug upon her return.

If you wish to read it for yourself, you can catch up here:
A Brief Discussion, Part 1

And now, here is this week’s snippet. Enjoy!

Kate’s jaw dropped. “You can’t do that. That’s not fair.”
“Why’s that? You don’t want to spend time with me all of a sudden?”
“No, it’s just that I won’t be able to do things for you.”
Anna failed to suppress her grin any longer. “I know. It’s okay. Speaking of doing things for me, let’s look at what you got.”
She stood back and looked over the navy blue jumpsuit Kate wore. One corner of her mouth curled downward. “Not my first choice, but I can work with it. Come on.”

  1. Peter Vialls says:

Sounds like Anna has plans in mind to sort out Kate’s crimes against fashion!

  2. S.A. Check says:

Are you kidding? Fashion follows us into space exploration? Great. I thought we would all just wear the same jumpsuit. “I’m not going anywhere with you dressed like that.” “But…we’re in deep space….I’ll go change my shirt.” – Fun Read!

  3. What’s wrong with a blue jumpsuit?

  4. T. M. Hunter says:

Everyone knows that blue jumpsuits were so last season…jet black jumpsuits are all the rage now.
